Community Development

“No one exists in isolation, we are all part of a greater whole.”

Being a non-profit organisation, Workplace Angels holds as a core value Social Responsibility.  What does Social Responsibility mean?  We, Angels Across Australia, are aware that nothing exists in isolation everything is interconnected.  With this in mind our focus is to promote a seamless dialogue between governance, business and the greater community, in which a shared sense of responsibility and inter-dependence can grow.  By the facilitating of new partnerships across differing sectors (e.g. social welfare, churches, community organizations & businesses) we believe that an ethically based culture can be created and sustained, returning benefits and quality of life for all. 

Acting as conduit, Angels Across Australia, will seek to form partnerships amongst various churches & charitable organisations and in doing create avenues where funding for potential programs can be sourced.

Particular focus is given to issues concerning various demographics such as:

1. Charitable Institutions;
2. The homeless;
3. The unemployed;
4. Youth at risk;
5. Church groups;
6. People with physical challenges;
7. People with mental/psychological challenges;
8. People of ethnic and/or cultural minority;
9. Recently arrived migrants and refugees;
10. The elderly;
11. Indigenous Australians;
12. Overseas missions.

Programs are targeted at delivering services in a variety of arenas, such us:

1. Socio-economic disadvantaged neighbourhoods and regions.
2. Supported Resident Services (SRSs) and other similar institutions.
3. Corrective Services facilities and institutions.
4. Community centres, both government and non-government.
5. Educational institutions, both government and non-government.
6. Cultural (including religion) settings.
